Tyabb's farmhouses and rural blocks off the Stony Point line get wardrobes built to the room, not to a suburban template.
Tyabb is an inland town on the Western Port side, known for its antique shops along the main road and the rural blocks surrounding it. The railway still runs through on the Stony Point line, but the land either side is farming and hobby-farm country.
Houses here have usually been added to over the years, a bedroom here, an extension there, so floor plans rarely match a standard shape. We measure the room as it stands today rather than work from what a plan says it should be.

Tyabb station sits on the Stony Point line between Somerville and Hastings, with the antique strip along the main road.
We also build throughout the Mornington Peninsula and South East Melbourne. See the full list of areas we serve →.
A farmhouse main bedroom can usually take a walk-in if the room has the depth, and on these blocks there's often space alongside to work with too. In the town itself the buildings are smaller, and a well-planned built-in is the sensible answer.
On the rural properties the main bedroom is often generously sized but the robe still dates from whenever the room was built, leaving a big wall with very little usable storage on it. In the older town houses the issue is simpler: a small recess that has never held enough.

Yes. We measure what's actually there, including any walls that have moved, before designing anything.
